Bondi Beach Sidney Australia, Perfect Place to Surf and Chill Out

Bondi Beach, located 7 kilometres east of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of Waverley Council, in the Eastern Suburbs is a popular beach and the name of the surrounding suburb in Sydney, Australia. Nearly 1 km (0.6 mi) long, Bondi Beach is a wide curved-shaped expanse of white sand bounded by a concrete walkway along the beach and cliffs at both ends. The water is turquoise and clear.

As on many Australian beaches, there is a safe swimming area which is delimited by the famous red and yellow ‘flags’. Due to strong rip currents, swimmers are expected to stay between those flags so they can be watched by the lifeguards.

Those are on duty all year round to ensure swimming and surf safety on one of the world’s busiest beaches.

Symbol of the Aussie lifestyle, Bondi Beach is a perfect place to surf and chill out. As you may have guessed, the most popular activity in Bondi Beach is surfing.

At the south end of Bondi Beach is the Icebergs Swimming Club, a fitness club with panomaric view on the beach whose facilities include bars, restaurant, 50m outdoor swimming pool, gymnasium, massage, sauna.

To discover some of Sydney’s other stunning beaches, you can follow the Coastal Walk to Coogee Beach, via Tamarama Beach and Bronte Beach. That scenic cliff walk along Sydney’s southern beaches is an absolute must-do.
