Sail Bunaken 2009-Bunaken Sea Park Sulawesi, Mass Diving Guinness World Record
Bunaken Sea Park located in North Sulawesi have natural beauty and marine diversity and admired by marine lovers from all over the world, including divers, surfers, tourists through to marine biodiversity researchers. In this month (august 2009), named Indonesia have a big event, “Sail Bunaken 2009“,which is trying to record an event of mass diving in the Guinness World Record.
This event will be held to commemorate the Indonesian Independence Day. It’s will be a very spectacular event involving almost 1,500 divers including military personnel and civilians, who will dive into the Manado bay on Aug 17.
If this event is successful, many people across the world will see that Indonesia has a large number of citizens who are skilled divers and that our country is full of diving sites. So, it is will have positive impact on Indonesia’s tourism industry and Manado will be known as another great Indonesian tourist destination after Bali.
